BWH’s fourth DAISY Award honoree is Heather Mortimer, RN, of Tower 14C, General Medicine. Heather was nominated by a former, grateful patient who extolled her thoughtfulness, dedication and compassion. The DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses is an international recognition program established in 1999 by the Barnes family to thank the nurses who had provided such compassionate care for their son, Patrick, before he passed away due to complications from an autoimmune disease.
