September is Recovery Month
Every September, the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) sponsors National Recovery Month to increase awareness and understanding of mental and substance use disorders, celebrate the individuals who have reclaimed their lives and honor the providers who make recovery possible. In honor of Recovery Month, Brigham Health is hosting several events, including:
Featured Speaker: Jack Kelly
Jack Kelly, founder and CEO of the iRecover app, is in recovery from opioid use disorder. He is a passionate advocate, serving on the advisory boards for Gov. Baker and Mayor Walsh, and was a recipient of the Suffolk County Role Model Award in 2016.

Christopher Gilligan, MD, director of the Division of Pain Medicine, will discuss chronic opioid therapy.
