BWH Allied Health Professional teams including rehabilitation services, nutrition, social work, respiratory therapy and interpreter services continue to work with Partners eCare to make system improvements. These changes can help a variety of workflows, including support for clinical documentation, case load management and scheduling. To be successful, these efforts will rely heavily on the expertise of BWH health professionals and their partnerships with members of Partners eCare.

Over the past several weeks, the Spiritual Care Department at BWH has worked closely with Partners eCare to make improvements in the system. “Recent updates to our caseload management tools have enhanced our ability to communicate with each other and the multidisciplinary team about the spiritual care we are offering to patients,” said staff chaplain Rev. Vera O’Brien, MDiv. Added Laurie Bittmann, MA, operations manager in Spiritual Care: “These changes have helped us to streamline our departmental procedures, increasing our ability to provide more efficient and timely care to patients and families.”

Users can enter an order for a Spiritual Care consult within Epic. When completing the request, please enter the reason for consult and any comments to help communicate your patient’s request. The Spiritual Care Department can use this consult order and information within Epic to help coordinate the care they provide for your patient and their family.
