Letters from patients and families often mention the “warmth” and “calm” that our nurses and Patient Care Services staff demonstrate, and they frequently note the little things you do to keep patients at the heart of care. Whether it’s taking the time to listen, bringing extra pillows or blankets to a patient’s room for comfort or accompanying a patient on a daily walk, these caring practices often contribute as much to the healing process as our clinical care.
Thank you for everything that you do to create exceptional caring experiences by exemplifying our values of integrity, collaboration, inclusion, professionalism and empathy as part of your everyday practice.
This holiday season, I hope you’ll take a moment to reflect on the many outstanding ways you care for and support our patients and families – and one another – throughout the year.
With warm regards for a joyous holiday season with family and friends,
Madelyn Pearson, DNP(c), MSN, MA, RN, NEA-BC
Chief Nursing Officer and Senior Vice President for Patient Care Services
