In my first few weeks as chief nursing officer and senior vice president of Patient Care Services, I am making it a priority to meet as many of you as possible by rounding throughout the hospital. My experiences rounding thus far have been delightful, and I felt privileged to witness the outstanding care you provide to our patients and their loved ones.

I enjoyed hearing you talk about why you love what you do and what is so special about working at the Brigham. What stood out to me in our conversations was how much you value teamwork and the opportunity to develop your skills and expand your knowledge. I saw firsthand your devotion to excellence in patient care and your appreciation of each other’s contributions. Your compassion, leadership, inquisitive spirit and dedication to high-quality patient care make the Brigham one of the best places in the country to receive and deliver care.

I believe rounding is a great opportunity to learn what’s on your mind and to observe how you create exceptional patient experiences, so you’ll see me in our patient care areas on an ongoing basis. I look forward to hearing your ideas about how we can further our commitment to a caring and inclusive environment for all.

Thank you for welcoming me into the Brigham family.

With gratitude,
